Abstract Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has attracted attention worldwide. The development of safe and effective vaccines against this virus has become an urgent need. This article reviews the research on coronavirus vaccines, including inactivated vaccines, genetically engineered recombinant subunit vaccines, nucleic acid vaccines, and viral vector-based vaccines.
