Ebola virus and its pathogenesis

Abstract  The 2014 outbreak of Ebola virus in West Africa has shown the potential to spread to other regions. This has been highly alerted by World Health Organization, and China also has adopted measures to prevent Ebola virus crossing the border. In this short review, we introduce the virology and pathogenesis of this deadly virus, while the epidemiology and prevention and treatment for Ebola virus infection are also included.
