Abstract
Objective To analyze clinical characteristics of HIV infection.Methods HIV antibody was screened by third generation of Abbott reagent(MEIA,S/O≥1.00),and confirmed by the Center of Diseases Prevention and Control of Shanghai using Western Blot assay. The characteristics of epidemiology,opportunistic infections,immunology in these patients were analyzed. Results 77 HIV infected individuals were confirmed to HIV positive during 1998-2006 in Rui Jin Hospital. Among these 50.7% were Shanghai residence. The ratio of male to female was 2.85∶1, mostly among people of 30-49 years old and predominantly infected by sex(40.3%). The early manifestations of illness were often neglected. Fungal infection of digestive and pulmonary system,Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection,STD,viral hepatitis,dermatopathy were observed in many departments. The characteristic of patients with symptoms was infections at multiple sites or infected with multiple microbes.Conclusion Timely clinical diagnosis of HIV infection is important for treatment of patients which can prevent opportunistic infections and transmission of the virus.
