Abstract

Suppurative otitis media is a common disease in the department of otolaryngology, which would result in hearing loss, tympanic membrane congestion, tympanic membrane perforation, tinnitus, ear pain and purulent clinical symptoms. Suppurative otitis media is mainly associated with microorganisms that could cause the middle ear infection and the middle ear suppurative lesions. In this paper, the pathogenesis of suppurative otitis media, pathogenic bacteria, drug resistance and treatment methods were summarized to provide evidence for clinical diagnosis and rational drug use of suppurative otitis media.
