Abstract:With the increasing usage of antibiotics, bacterial drug resistance has become a serious problem. Bacterial drug resistance is a complex process, involving the host, bacteria and the environment, which are independent and interactive factors. For a long time, scientists considered that bacteria behave as individual. Till recently, people found that bacteria communicate with each other. We begin to realize the importance of bacterial group behavior in survival. An increasing number of studies have tended to take bacteria as a group to study the behavior of drug resistance. Now, the important aspects of bacterial group behavior, the biofilm and bacterial programmed cell death draw a lot of attention. In this paper, the research associated with drug resistance mechanisms of biofilms and bacterial programmed cell death is reviewed.
